Remember...
--Call the ride host and let him/her know you are coming and how many will be coming with you.
--Be considerate of other peoples' property and clean up after yourself and your horse.
--If your horse kicks have a red ribbon in their tail. If your horse is green, have a green ribbon in their tail.
--If someone is trying to mount don't ride off and leave them alone. Wait until they are on and seated.
--Ride at the level of the greenest rider or horse in your group.
--When passing others, announce your intentions to the riders in front of you and then pass quietly. NO galloping by!
--Keep a safe distance. When looking between your horse's ears you should be able to see the heels of the horse in front of you. Increase this distance as you increase your speed.
--When crossing a road go together as a group. DO NOT split the group and have cars whizzing between horses.
--EXTRA caution when riding with children, the elderly or someone riding with a disability!!!
